Daddy's Secret Pocket: Part One (Fiction)

Once upon a time there was a little girl who desperately wanted to be out in the world. She desperately wanted to laugh and dance and twirl and feel the sun on her face.

But she was a terrified little one because she was born in darkness and locked up in a tower of pain and suffering...

Oh how she longed to be rescued from her invisible prison.

One day there was a rumble from outside and the little girl ran to her only safe place...inside her mind...and holed up in the dark twisty vines intertwined with longing and fear. She froze and closed her eyes as the barriers burst and the walls came crashing down around her. The little girl waited for the pain...the devastation...the destruction...

the gentlest of caresses and the most intoxicating of voices?

"I've found you, little one..." he rasped as he gently cupped her trembling face and forced her to meet his gaze.

"B...B...b...but...I don't understand..." she began and stopped, mesmerised by the most intense blue eyes she had ever gazed into.

"It's Daddy, little one, and I've been searching for you forever. I'm here and I'll never leave you." He smiled and grazed her open lips with his finger. "It's time to fly, little one."

The little girl frantically shook her head and tried to pull away, but Daddy wrapped her in his strong arms and held tight. "Nooooo!! It's not safe. IT'S NOT SAFE!!" she screamed, beating her tiny fists against his chest.

"Shhhhh, little one, shhh" Daddy crooned, as he rubbed his hands up and down her spine. "It's safe with me. You're always safe with me...Look, little one..." Daddy drew her gaze down to his trousers ....

"B...b...bu..."

"Daddy has a secret pocket, only for you. You can stay inside and be safe from whatever scares you, little one."

The little girl looked at Daddy with disbelief. "I'm too big! You're not funny! Stop." She pulled away and ran to the corner, hiding her face with her hands. "You're not my Daddy. You're a meanie..." she howled. She was so busy crying, she didn't hear him approach from behind her until she felt a strong arm anchor her against his chest. Then she felt the strangest sensation as he rubbed her nose once, twice, three times....

WOOSH!!!

The little girl felt as if she was flying through the air and she fell with a bang! She curled up and covered her face, terrified. But then she felt as if she was being cocooned in warmth and safety and

BIG FINGERS!!!

The little girl's eyes flew open to find herself ...small

...about 4 inches tall, to be precise

...and wrapped around Daddy's fingers!

She gazed up into smiling eyes..."I told you little one," he whispered, so as not to frighten her, "I told you Daddy would keep you safe. Every time I bop your nose three times, this will happen. Daddy can keep his little one with him forever and protect her and love her and help her fly free."

The little girl started sobbing again.

But this time with happy tears.

She felt safe and protected.

And loved.

She couldn't wait for her secret pocket adventures to begin!
